Our
laboratory is an officially
international accredited lab
according to the standard
ISO/IEC 17025:2017. It means
that a governmental official
international
accreditation-inspection body
provided a formal recognition
that our laboratory is
impartial, independent and
technically competent to
conduct specifically
comparative testing of
consumer products in line with
the guide ISO/IEC 46:2017
The
accreditation body
assessed factors relevant
to our laboratory’s
ability to produce precise
and accurate test data,
including the following:
- technical
competence of staff
- validity
and appropriateness of
test methods
- traceability
of measurements and
calibrations to national
standards
- suitability,
calibration and
maintenance of test
equipment
- testing
environment
- sampling,
handling and
transportation of test
items
- quality
assurance of test and
calibration data
Accreditation
also covers the quality
systems elements addressed
in ISO 9001 certification.
Our lab is regularly
re-examined to ensure
continued compliance to
ensure that we are
maintaining our technical
expertise standards. We
must participate in
regular proficiency
testing programs as an
ongoing demonstration of
our competence.
Over
90 laboratory
accreditation bodies
serving more than 100
countries have signed a
multilateral recognition
agreement (MRA), called
the ILAC arrangement,
which significantly
enhances the acceptance of
data across the national
borders of the signatory
countries. This system of
international MRAs between
accreditation bodies has
enabled accredited
laboratories to achieve a
form of international
recognition and allowed
test data to be more
readily accepted on other
markets. Therefore our
test data can be accepted
in the following
regions/countries (in

to conduct comparative testing
of products for washing fabrics,

Previously, we were (2019 -
2023) an officially designated
laboratory in Ecuador to perform
comparative testing of consumer
products in other home care
categories like dishwashers,
surface cleaners, and others
using instrumental and sensory
evaluation procedures.
